Linux:File System Table


# vi /etc/fstab
Column1 - Directory Partition information (/dev/hda9 or LABEL=home)
Column 2 – Mount point (/dev/hda6, /data, /misc )
Column 3 – File system (ext3, nfs, ext2, swap, smbfs)
Column 4 – option
Column 5 – dumb directory
Column 6 – File system check
Add new device to fstab
# vi/etc/fstab
/dev/hda8              /data       ext3        defaults                 12
/dev/sb1                /xyz         vfat         defaults                 00
:wq!

# service nfs start / restart
